Espresso Education proudly collected the British Academy Children's Award in the Learning Primary category last night at this year’s award ceremony. These awards are designed to celebrate the best in moving image for children including film, television, video games and online. This is Espresso’s first BAFTA award win.

Within the Learning Primary category, entries must “educate children aged 4-11 and support or complement the curriculum” across a variety of eligible formats including television programmes, online, CDs/DVDs and interactive television. Out of the 4 shortlisted entries, BAFTA members chose Espresso’s cross-curricular online service to represent the very best in this category, across all of these formats. The quality and strong curriculum underpinnings of the Espresso Primary service directly contributed to the winning entry.

The Learning Primary award was presented by Beverley Trotman from ‘The X Factor’ who, coincidentally, is a teacher who uses Espresso at her school, Icknield Primary School in Luton. Her genuine excitement about Espresso Primary’s win is a true testament to the service and its practical support of teachers in today’s classrooms.

Lewis Bronze, CEO Espresso Education stated, “BAFTA represents the highest accolade the TV/media industry bestows. While success in the education arena is paramount to us, recognition by BAFTA is truly a milestone in the company’s development. We are all very proud that the service we work so hard to produce and deliver to schools has achieved such a high level of recognition and respect."
